Future Leaders of America

-
Future Leaders of America (FLA) promotes the personal development of Latino youth by providing:
- Leadership Training
- Education
- Community Involvement
FLA teaches youth specific skills through a peer-to-peer mentorship model that helps them:
- Increase academic achievement
- Engage in their communities
- Reach out beyond existing social groups
Latino youth start their involvement with FLA in the 8th or 9th grade by attending an FLA Leadership Camp. Youth continue their involvement with FLA by participating in FLA clubs in their high school, attending Staff Training for volunteers, and joining the cadre of volunteer staff to run future camps for new youth.
Please be aware: Future Leaders of America is only based in Ventura and Santa Barbara County and does not sell magazine subscriptions nor sends students to gas stations and other public locations to fundraise money for its programs. Should you encounter this situation, please report this fraud to the authorities immediately.
"Future Leaders of America is the ground structure of everything I do. It gives me the principals of leadership skills that you can apply everywhere and anywhere. It has helped me have a great self-esteem as well as others around me."
